Compass’ Positive Achievements at TU/e

In 5 Years of Compass, we have managed to bring a supportive and more inclusive environment to the TU/e:

• We have made diversity visible at the university

• We have introduced gender neutral language in TU/e regulations

• We changed TU/e job application forms to include Female/Male/X(other)

• We have been involved with national LGBTQIA+ networks

• We have established formal contact with the TU/e Executive Board and have the mandate to be ambassadors for positive diversity actions

• We organize yearly meetings with the political parties of the TU/e to discuss their agendas for diversity and LGBTQIA+ issues

• We were involved in establishing the inclusion of gender neutral bathrooms in Neuron

• We have introduced the option to choose your pronouns inside Canvas

• We have been involved in spreading awareness of transgender people among the student advisors, and we have given a presentation to all study advisors together with Désy Verkuilen

But above all, we have created a community for people to meet and make friends and bond over different aspects of our lives!
